Dionysios Bonikos was born in Athens. He studied Civil Engineering at University College London (UCL) in Great Britain, from where he obtained a master's degree in anti-seismic constructions. He holds two postgraduate diplomas from the University of Patras and the Rose School Institute of Advanced Studies (IUSS) in Pavia. In 2009 he founded the architectural firm Bonikos Arch + Design, a network of scientists in the field of architecture and construction science. His interests are focused on the design of buildings with the application of interdisciplinary design methods, which combine architecture with environmental sustainability, neuroscience, cognitive science, advanced materials technologies, BIM computing and artificial intelligence.
His building project covers a wide range of private projects such as homes, shops, hotels, offices, renovations, reconstructions, emphasizing the bioclimatic architecture but also with the constant search for new modern technologies and materials friendly to the environment and the place.
At the same time, he worked as a technical consultant at AECOM in the supervision of the projects of Zakynthos airport but also in the National Marine Park of Zakynthos where he was engaged in the elaboration of studies of environmental protection and energy saving.
He is a member of the TEE, the international organization of reinforced concrete FIB (fédération internationale du béton) and the Steel Construction Institute (SCI) and the Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) of Great Britain. He is an energy inspector and building inspector.
George D. Lountzis was born in Zakynthos and studied at the School of Architectural Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. During his studies he was particularly involved in the subject of urban planning, landscape architecture and the restoration of historical monuments and ensembles.
At the same time, his interest in the public space led to the participation in various workshops in Greece (Coastal Thresholds Workshop) and abroad, specifically in Venice (W.A.V.E. University I.U.A.V.), on issues related to the investigation of the urban fabric and its mapping methods but also the relationship of historical cities with public space.
He has also participated in architectural competitions in Greece (3rd prize in the student architectural competition "Two Squares in Apokoronas") and abroad (Pandemic Architecture Competition, Non architecture competitions, Terra viva competitions). Also, his work entitled "Urban interventions in the Old Town of Chania" participated in 2018 in the Inherit exhibition to celebrate the European time for cultural heritage at the Mediterranean Architecture Center in Chania. In 2023 his diploma thesis entitled 'Memento Mori: On memory and perishability for a new burial ritual in Thessaloniki' participated in the exhibition for the architecture week at the Mediterranean Architecture Center in Chania.
The theoretical understanding of the social and cultural condition of death and the critical analysis of important burial sites in modern Europe was the object of study of his research and diplomatic work. In 2018, he worked in architectural offices in Chania with the main occupation being the design of private houses, summer accommodations and the restoration of houses in the Old Town of Chania. In comparison, he worked in the offices of Ioannis K. Verikakis and Aristomenis and Giorgos Varoudakis. He is also a member of TEE and SADAS-PEA.
In 2020 he became a member of the Dionysios Bonikos Arch+Design architectural office.
Galini Nikolaidi was born in Athens and studied at the School of Architectural Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. During her studies she was particularly involved in the subject of urban design, landscape architecture and the restoration of historical monuments and ensembles.
At the same time, her interest in public space led to her participation in various workshops in Greece (Coastal Threshold Workshop) and abroad (WAVE IUAV University, Venice), on topics that explore the urban web, its mapping methods and the relationship of historic cities with public space.
She has also participated in architectural competitions in Greece (3rd prize in the student architectural competition "Two squares in Apokorronas") and abroad (Pandemic Architecture Competition, Non architecture competitions). In addition, her work entitled "Urban interventions in the Old Town of Chania" participated in 2018 in the Inherit exhibition to celebrate the European Year of Cultural Heritage at the Center for Mediterranean Architecture in Chania.

Roussa Kladi was born in Zakynthos. She studied Civil Engineering at the University of West Attica. She started her career in 2011 at Bonikos Arch + Design architectural studio, and is an integral member of the team.
She is responsible for the issuance of building permits and urban planning issues and is also involved in drafting project studies for lending.
Nagia Kyriakopoulou was born in Athens and studied at the School of Architectural Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. Her constant involvement with the fine arts, led her to continue her studies at the Department of Fine Arts of the School of Fine Arts, in Athens.
She has participated in workshops in Greece (Urban Design Laboratory: Coastal Thresholds) and abroad (Workshop Architecture Venice Abroad. IUAV University of Venice), on topics related to the exploration of the urban fabric and its mapping methods, but also the relationship of historians of cities with public space.
In 2019 she wins with her team the 3rd prize in the student architectural competition "Two squares in Apokoronas". Also, her work entitled "Urban interventions in the Old Town of Chania", was presented in 2018 at the Inherit exhibition for the celebration of European Time for Cultural Heritage at the Center for Mediterranean Architecture in Chania.
The expansion of the Archaeological Museum of Ceramics in Athens through the redefinition of public space, was the subject of her dissertation. Respectively, the object of her research work was the investigation of the role of nature in the architecture of the sanatoriums, considered as a factor that contributes to the healing of patients. In 2019 he worked at the architectural office Insite Architects Lab in Chania, with main focus on the design of tourist accommodation and private homes, as well as interior design.
In 2023 she became a member of the architectural studio Bonikos Arch + Design.
Andreas Tavoularis was born in Zakynthos. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the Aristotle University.
He works as a person in charge in the field of mechanical studies that are necessary for the issuance of building permits while at the same time he deals with the installation of photovoltaic systems. It also investigates the use of innovative systems to save energy in buildings.
